We Care For Our Community
SimplifyCT, Inc. (SCT) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that aims to help Connecticut’s low-to-moderate-income and at-risk residents navigate the complex process of accessing social safety-net benefits. We are dedicated to helping Seniors, students, veterans, and the disabled, as well as other individuals and families of all kinds, to access the financial benefits to which they are entitled. Unlike other Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) service providers, we work all year long, not just during tax season.
Founded in 2020, SCT has been providing the connection between technology and human interaction, offering both virtual and in-person services.
Under the auspices of the IRS, SCT has become one of the largest providers of free tax preparation services in Connecticut – and among the nation – serving over 14,000 individuals annually, returning millions in tax refunds as well as other benefits, and helping families build the foundation for lasting financial independence.
